DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY

' A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely                foolproof was to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools. ' - Douglas Adams

Design and Technology at Eskdale

Design and Technology prepares students to participate in tomorrow's rapidly changing world. Students learn to become problem solvers as individuals and as members of a team.

All students study Design and Technology for 2 (one hour) periods per week in all years. In each year students have the opportunity to work in both the food technology area and the resistant materials workshop.

At the end of Year 9 students transfer to Whitby Community College and if they wish can study Product Design and GCSE and A Level.
